Seattle Cascades Welcome Kira Pattinson as 2023 Movement Specialist

The Seattle Cascades is excited to announce Kira Pattinson as the Seattle Cascades Movement Specialist.

According to Ray Severns, Seattle Cascades Drum and Bugle Corps Director: "Kira is a passionate and caring individual who brings a youthful energy and an understanding of performance and movement that will allow the Seattle Cascades to separate ourselves from other drum corps. Kira also represents a tremendous opportunity to connect with students in our area through her work with local schools and her experiences as a relatively recent member of the corps. I am extremely excited for what they bring to the team!"

Kira Pattinson is a Washington State native, pursuing a BA in History Education from Central Washington University. Kira was classically trained in ballet for ten years, having attended the Evergreen City Ballet and Joffrey Ballet School summer intensives before discovering a passion for the marching arts.

Kira’s drum corps career consists of five years in three different sections with the Seattle Cascades and two years with the Santa Clara Vanguard. She was also a member of Rhapsody Winterguard and did several years in the Central Washington University Marching Band and Basketball band. As an educator, Kira has worked with several Seattle-area high school marching bands, such as Cedarcrest High School, Mercer Island High School, and most recently Kamiak High School. She previously worked with IMPACT Percussion as their Visual Ensemble Coordinator and Pacific Crest Drum Corps on their visual team. Kira is delighted to begin her first year on staff with the corps she calls home and can’t wait to hit the ground running for the 2023 season!
