Experience Summits - Student Clinics

Participating in the Cascades Experience Summit offers an unparalleled opportunity for band and guard students to elevate your skills by learning from the best in the field. Engaging with seasoned professionals and accomplished musicians provides young performers with invaluable insights into advanced techniques, performance dynamics, and the discipline required to excel.

This immersive experience not only enhances their technical abilities but also encourages personal growth and teamwork. By connecting with experts who have honed their craft to perfection, students gain inspiration and practical knowledge that will propel their musical journeys to new heights.

Experience Summit Attendees need comfortable clothes, athletic shoes, sun protection, sun glasses, and a willingness to try new things!

Musicians need an instrument to play on including sticks/mallets/mouthpieces, etc. Music will be emailed to you after your registration. (Mallet percussion will share with Cascades members)

Color Guard needs a flag on a pole.

Schedule

1:00pm Registration Check-In - Receive your tshirt. Musicians should have music printed out and ready.

1:30pm Introductions – Move to sectionals for winds, battery, front ensemble, and colorguard.

3:30pm Full Ensemble - Watch a 90 minute full ensemble of the Seattle Cascades rehearsal.

5:00pm Dinner - Eat a meal with the Seattle Cascades as if you are a member, hang out with the members, and ask questions about their drum corps experience.

7:30pm The Show Begins! Watch the best corps on the west coast including the Seattle Cascades performance.

Following the show the members of the Seattle Cascades will be available for pictures and final good-byes for about 30 minutes before they have to pack up and prepare to depart for the next day.
